Sailing at Lake Garda is, without doubt, the most historical and popular sport.
Our center in Malcesine is blessed with reliable and constant thermal winds, which offer ideal sailing conditions for everyone - no matter if its your first time on the water or if you are a crack!
Our keelboats are moored and ready for action on our private mooring buoys right in front of our watersports center, while our Lasers are rigged and launched on our private beach.
Lessons for all levels
We teach everyone from complete beginners to advanced sailors.
If you are new to the sport, we recommend to take on the whole five-day course, if your goal is to sail independently and to build profund knowledge in the sport.
You'll gain comprehensive insight into sailing, including knowledge about different boat and sail types, safety protocols, and the ability to interpret wind and water conditions.
Safety is our top priority
All of our courses are held in small groups by certified and expierenced instructors who will accompany you at all times either by sailing together with them or by motorboat. Our rescue service is supervising the action on water closely and is ready for rapid assistance.
What is included
- The ideal boat from our sailboat fleet featuring more than seven different boat types and shapes
- Lifejacket, trapeze, for stormy sea or colder months: wetsuit, neoprene shoes, gloves
- Lessons are held in german, italian or english, in small groups (max. 4 students) by certified and experienced instructors. You will learn theory on land and practice in the water!
- Boat-, sail- and equipment insurance
- Parking and access to our private beach is free for our clients!
- Rescue service operated by motorboat for rapid assistance
What is NOT included
- Travel/medical insurance
- food and drinks
- Optional: After completing the 15-hours beginner course you can complete the "VDWS sailing basic license" exam. With this license, you can prove your level when going to other sailing centers worldwide. The license has a cost of 40€ and includes the learning material.
What you need to bring
- Swimwear/bikini, hat, sweatshirt, sunglasses and slip-resistant shoes (no black sole)
- Waterproof sunscreen for your body and face
- Water bottle. We prefer no plastic bottles, as they might fly out of the boat once they are empty.

BEGIN | YOUR FIRST SAILING LESSONS
In our BEGIN course you will learn everything you need to be able to handle a sailing boat independently and bring it safely back to the buoy. This includes theoretical- and practical instruction, area information, course directions, rigging, maneuvers, arrival- and departure, knowledge of different boat types and knots.
After 5 course days, you can earn the VDWS basic license. This certificate allows you to demonstrate your skill level when renting equipment at watersports centers worldwide.

ADVANCE | GAIN CONFIDENCE, GET BETTER
Have you sailed before and now want to get your skills back on track? The progress course is ideal for refreshing and repeating for intermediate sailors and as a follow-up course after the BEGIN course.
In this course more profund theoretical- and practical knowledge is conveyed and techniques for arrival- and departure, rigging and maneuvers are developed further. Moreover, we customize the content of the course to meet your personal needs.

Requirements: knowledge of the theoretical and practical basics of sailing
Course times: 10:30 or 14:00

EXPERT | EXPLORE NEW DIMENSIONS
You want to experience more action, higher speed, more complex trimming options and new maneuvers with the spinnaker or gennaker?
Our EXPERT course is aimed at advanced sailors who want to learn regatta techniques or how sail with the spinnaker (prepare and rig the boat, hoist, gybe and recover the spinnaker). Gain the knowledge and understanding to sail the best possible course and the best trim. Learn how to use your crew as good teamwork is fundamental for success.
Level: expertRequirements: confident sailor, good understanding of all sailing aspects (wind- and course directions, maneuvers, knots)
Duration: 2,5 hours per lesson
Group ratio: depending on boat type from 2 to 4 students per instructor

PRIVATE | INTENSIVE COACHING
Make the most out of your time and take your sailing to the next level. Whether you are just getting started with sailing or you are working on your gennaker technique, our private course is the best option if you want to boost your skills fast.
The course content is adjusted by your personal trainer based on your level and expectations! The possibilities are endless; tell us what you want to learn and we will show you how to do it!

WWWind Square is a certified watersport center!
We are a proud to be a member of the world’s largest water sports school association; the VDWS International.
We do our best to manage our center and instructors following the standards outlined by the VDWS. This includes also our safety measurements and rescue services, teaching material, facility management, etc...
You can obtain your VDWS license for windsurf, wingfoil, kitesurf, sailing and catamaran directly in our center at WWWind Square. With this internationally recognized license you can easily proof your skill to other watersports centers around the world, making it simpler and more convenient to rent gear.
