Sailing at Lake Garda is, without doubt, the most historical and popular sport.
Our center in Malcesine is blessed with reliable and constant thermal winds, which offer ideal sailing conditions for everyone - no matter if its your first time on the water or if you are a crack!
Our catamarans are rigged and ready for action on our private ramp right in front of our watersports center.
Lessons for all levels
We teach everyone from complete beginners to advanced catamaran sailors.
If you are new to the sport, we recommend to take on the whole five-day course, if your goal is to sail independently and to build profund knowledge in the sport.
You'll gain comprehensive insight into catamaran sailing, including boat and equipment knowledge, safety protocols, and the ability to interpret wind and water conditions.
Safety is our top priority
All of our courses are held in small groups by certified and expierenced instructors who will accompany you at all times. A rescue services is supervising the action on water closely and is ready for rapid assistance.
What is included
- From error-forgiving beginner cats to F18 regatta boats - we provide you with the right boat for your skill level
- Wetsuit in all sizes, shoes, trapeze, lifejacket and for the colder months: Second wetsuit, neopren gloves- and hoody.
- Lessons are held in german, italian or english, in small groups (max. 2 students) by certified and experienced instructors. You will learn theory on land and practice in the water!
- Boat-, sail and equipment insurance
- Parking and access to our private beach is free for our clients!
- Rescue service operated by motorboat for rapid assistance
What is NOT included
- Travel/medical insurance

- Optional: After completing the 5-day beginner course you can complete the "VDWS cat-sailing basic license" exam. With this license, you can prove your level when going to other sailing centers worldwide. The license has a cost of 40€ and includes the learning material.

BEGIN | YOUR FIRST CATAMARAN LESSONS
In our BEGIN course you will learn everything you need to be able to handle a catamaran independently and bring it safely back to shore. This includes theoretical- and practical instruction, area information, course directions, rigging, maneuvers, arrival- and departure, recover from capsizing, knowledge of different boat types and knots.
After 5 course days, you can earn the VDWS basic license. This certificate allows you to demonstrate your skill level when renting equipment at watersports centers worldwide.

ADVANCE | GAIN CONFIDENCE, GET BETTER
Have you sailed before and now want to get your skills back on track? The progress course is ideal for refreshing and repeating for intermediate sailors and as a follow-up course after the BEGIN course.
In this course more profund theoretical- and practical knowledge is conveyed. Master your maneuvers, sail with the trapeze, recover from capsize and learn new trimming options in both light and strong winds. In every case, we adapt the content of the course to meet your personal needs and expectations.

Requirements: knowledge of the theoretical and practical basics of cat sailing
Course times: 10:00 or 14:00

EXPERT | EXPLORE NEW DIMENSIONS
You want to experience more action, higher speed, more complex trimming options and new maneuvers with the or gennaker?
Our EXPERT course is aimed at advanced catamaran sailors who want to learn everything about gennaker sailing (prepare and rig the boat, hoist, gybe and recover the spinnaker), trapeze techniques, or even sailing single-handed.. Gain the knowledge and understanding to sail the best possible course and the best trim. Learn how to use your crew as good teamwork is fundamental for success.
Level: expertDuration: 2,5 hours per lesson
Course times: 8:00, 10:00 or 14:00
Requirements: confident catamaran sailor in 4+ beaufort, good understanding of all sailing aspects (wind- and course directions, maneuvers, knots)
Group ratio: max. 2 students per instructor
PRIVATE | INTENSIVE COACHING
Make the most out of your time and take your catamaran skills to the next level. Whether you are just getting started with catamaran or you are working on your gennaker technique, our private course is the best option if you want to boost your skills fast.
Its also a great option if you want to experience the exhilarating action aboard on our F18 regatta catamaran.
The course content is adjusted by your personal trainer based on your level and expectations! The possibilities are endless; tell us what you want to learn and we will show you how to do it!

VDWS RECOGNIZED TRAINING CENTER
WWWind Square is a certified watersport center!
We are a proud to be a member of the world’s largest water sports school association; the VDWS International.
We do our best to manage our center and instructors following the standards outlined by the VDWS. This includes also our safety measurements and rescue services, teaching material, facility management, etc...
You can obtain your VDWS license for windsurf, wingfoil, kitesurf, sailing and catamaran directly in our center at WWWind Square. With this internationally recognized license you can easily proof your skill to other watersports centers around the world, making it simpler and more convenient to rent gear.
